Woven fabric
Made by 2 sets of yarns at right angles to each other
Warp

Used if a fabric has been cut parallel to warp or filling yarns
Off grain
A direction not parallel to these yarns (bias)
Shuttle
A wooden device with a bobbin placed inside with filling yarn wound around it
Projectile loom
Uses a projectile to insert the filling yarns
Rapier loom
Uses a rapier rod or steel tape to pull the filling yarns across the loom
Jet loom
Take the filling yarn across the loom by using high speed jet of either air or water
Face side
Better appearance, outside of garment
Back side
Inside of garment
Shuttleless loom
Other device to bring filling yarns through the shed
