What is Calculous Cholecystitis?

A

Chemical irritation and inflammation from gallstones
that block bile duct, cystic duct, or gallbladder neck. causes bile to back into gallbladder and irritate wall of gallbladder.

A

Ischemia & Infection -> Perforation–> Peritonitis

A

No inflammation or gallstones
- due to anatomic issues or flow issues
- not a lot of people have this

A

Getting a history, diet, asking about pain that is in RUA, or biliary colic, pain to right shoulder

CT, US, XR, monitor and assess for pain due to risk of perforation. If patient is not stable get them stabilize first.

- IV NSAIDs after surgery and I would have so many indications
