Music Staff

Treble Clef
Also called the G clef, it indicates that notes on a staff are higher. It also circles the G line.

Key Signature
Sharps and flats at the beginning of a song that indicate the key, scale and which note is Do.

Flat

raises a pitch 1/2 step
Time Signature
A symbol at the beginning of a song or section that indicates how many beats in a measure and which rhythm =1.
Example: 4/4, 3/4, 2/4

A time signature that indicates 2 beats in a measure and the quarter note =1 beat

A time signature that indicates 4 beats in a measure and the quarter note = 1 beat
