How does it do so?
- *The Humbolt Current**

It runs cold water north from Antarctica along the entire west coast of South America.
This current also brings cool winds with it, which get blown up the river valleys through the Coastal Ranges of mountains that protect the Central Valley. Thus regulating the otherwise warm temperatures.

Antumapu Soils?

This is the famous Maipu soil type for Viñedo Chadwick

The Coastal Ranges
As the name implies, the run up the coast of Chile bringing protection to the main growing regions of the country from cold Antarctic winds. The river valleys of the ranges do allow some of the breezes through that help regulate the temperature.
