Looked at 28 families with 3-4 year-olds through experience sampling

Found that over 1/3rd of the times they contacted the families there was music involved (38% of the episodes involved music)

19% of the episodes had no music for 2 hours. 81% of cases had been exposed to music in the previous 2 hours.

15.6% of episodes involved making music (mostly singing)
