What is necrotising enterocolitis?

A

Tissue in the intestine becomes inflamed and starts to die. Leads to perforation developing that allows the contents of the intestine to leak into the abdomen.

Symptoms of necrotising enterocolitis:

A

Illness, problems feeding or vomiting and a swollen and tender abdomen.

What is febrile convulsion?

A

Fits/ seizures that can happen when a child has a fever. Often happen between the ages of 6 months and 3 years.

Lymph nodes are part of the immune system and contain cells that help fight infection.
