Nephroblastoma and symptoms
Intra-abdominal/ kidney tumour
Symptoms can be swelling or mass within the abdomen that is firm and non-tender on one side.
Osteosarcoma
Most common bone cancer in children usually occurring in the legs.
What is necrotising enterocolitis?
Tissue in the intestine becomes inflamed and starts to die. Leads to perforation developing that allows the contents of the intestine to leak into the abdomen.
Symptoms of necrotising enterocolitis:
Illness, problems feeding or vomiting and a swollen and tender abdomen.
What is febrile convulsion?
Fits/ seizures that can happen when a child has a fever. Often happen between the ages of 6 months and 3 years.
Lymphadenitis
An inflammation (swelling) of the lymph nodes (glands).
Lymph nodes are part of the immune system and contain cells that help fight infection.
Prader-willis syndrome
Rare genetic condition that causes a wide range of physical symptoms, learning difficulties and behavioural challenges.
