Recurrent UTI management

A

if >3 yo
US urinary tract within 6 weeks of acute infection, DMSA scan 4-6months.

If US abnormal -> Consider MCUG (if dilatation on US, poor urine flow, non e coli infection, FHx of Vesico ureteric reflux)

A

Refer to on call paediatrician for further assessment.

0-3 months - t>38 is high risk red sign.

Incubation 3 days
Coxsackie virus
self limiting, lasts 7 days, doesnt recur.
