What are the two main child abduction offences?

Section 1 - relating to a person connected with the child
Section 2 - A person not connected with the child

What does a person connected with the child mean? (6 Points)
A
- Parent
- Person has reasonable grounds to believe they are the father
- They are the guardian of the child.
- Special guardian of the child.
- They have custody of the child.
- Person who is in favour of a Childs arrangement order

What are the defences to Section 1 Child Abduction? (5 Points)
A
- They have a child arrangements order and the child is taken out of the UK for less than one month.
- The special guardian takes the child out of the UK for less than 3 months.
- He does so in belief that the other person either consents or would consent given the circumstances.
- he has taken reasonable steps to communicate with the other person
- The other person has unreasonably refused to consent.
