Keeping safe outdoors
Children must be watched and supervised at all times so parent can quickly help in child in danger
Place secure fence around garden , prevents child gettin Onto road
Ponds must be removed or covered , prevents child falling in or drowning
When barbecue used, children should not be left alone as high risk of burns
Climbing equipment must be placed away from concrete , child may fall and needs soft surface to prevent injury’s
Playing on the beach
Parents should :
Apply sun cream and sun hat
Warn children about strangers
Supervise children in water

Children hurt when they slip ;
Safer to have a heavy mat rather than light one
Floors have to be polished, use non slip polish
Windows
To prevent children falling out ;
Keep chairs and tables away from windows
They should not be left alone in room with open windows unless safety bars
