Define child sexual abuse
- acts using a child for sexual gratification
- attempted or threatened acts relating to sexual behaviour
Child emotional abuse
- Failure of a caregiver to provide an appropriate and supportive environment resulting in adverse effects on the emotional development and health of the child
Child neglect
Any act or failure to act by the parent to provide support for child development in all spheres when a parent is in a position to do so
