What is executive?
A high-ranking manager (e.g., CEO) overseeing strategic decisions and operations.
Types of executives?
- Nominal/titular and real executive.
- Hereditary and elected executives.
- Single and plural executives.
- Parliamentary and presidential.
- Nominal/Titular vs. Real Executive
Nominal: Symbolic head (e.g., constitutional monarchs like the British King).
Real: Holds actual power (e.g., Prime Minister in the UK, President in India).
- Hereditary vs. Elected Executive
Hereditary: Inherited position (e.g., monarchies like Saudi Arabia).
Elected: Chosen through elections (e.g., U.S. President, French President).
