EMS assessment and care
Be prepared to provide CPR/ defibrillation
Perform brief history and physical
Administer O2 4L/min (if SPO2 sats <94%)
Vital Signs, IV access, 12Lead EKG
If ST elevation: Notify cath lab hospital of STEMI, note time of onset of symptoms
BSI, Scene Safe, C Spine, LOC (AVPU)
CAB (support if needed)

Symptoms suggestive of ischemia or infarction
Give:
ASA 325mg
Nitroglycerin 0.4mg sublingual/spray x3 doses
Morphine 2-8mg IV if no relief from Nitro and BPS>90
EKG Interpretation #1
ST elevation or new LBBB
Strongly suspicious for injury
ST elevation MI (STEMI)
EKG Interpretation #2
ST depression or T wave inversion
strongly suspicious for ischemia
Unstable angina/non STEMI
EKG Interpretation #3
Normal or non diagnostic
changes in ST segment or T wave
Low/intermittent ACS
