Difference in radiation between angina and pericarditis?
Pericarditis will have pain that radiates to the trapezius muscles
What is angina decuibtus?
Pain occurs while the patient is recumbent
What is important to inquire for a patient with angina?
Is it occuring with less exertion in the past?
Does it occur at rest?
Does it ever wake you up from sleep?
What are the signs of IHD on a CXR?
Cardiac enlargement
Ventricular aneurysm
Signs of heart failure
What is Stable Angina?
Myocardial ischaemia –> chest pain
Precipitated by exertion
Relieved by rest
What is PRINZMETAL angina?
Angina caused by coronary vasospasm
What is coronary syndrome X?
Symptoms of angina but with normal exercise tolerance and normal coronary angiograms
Hyperacute T-waves are a sign of?
Appear early in STEMI before ST elevation occurs
Seen in Prinzmetal angina (due to coronary vasospasm)
