chen’s s-curve model Flashcards
what does chen’s model show?
that all change needs time in order to be effective
- change is shown to be effective as long as it can move out of a social group/geographical area
what happens at point 1 of chen’s s-curve?
- the change is made and there is some uptake (spread through a social group)
what happens at point 2 of chen’s s curve?
more people are using it but this is still limited to a geographical region or group
what happens at point 3 of chen’s s-curve?
many more people know it now
what happens at point 4 of chen’s s-curve?
the change has reached as many people as it can. no change can ever reach 100% uptake because people resist change, particularly older people
