polar covalent. The intramolecular bonds result from the sharing of electrons between hydrogen and oxygen atoms.

what is the reason for H2O unique shape?
A
the unpaired electrons on oxygen repel the bonding electrons thus giving water the bent shape. Negative charges repel each other so the hydrogen get pushed down causing the bent shape.
