How many types of surveys for Chemical agents
5
Periodic monitoring survey
Used for detecting the arrival of chemical agents in liquid form
On-station monitoring survey
Performed in selected spaces during the attack to determine if there is a vapor hazard inside the ship
Rapid internal survey
Conducted after a suspected chemical attack to determine if there is a vapor hazard in selected vital spaces or other manned spaces
Rapid external survey
Conducted shortly after an attack with liquid agent.
Determines if there is liquid contaminant at vital topside stations
(If in vapor form) used to confirm that the ship has reached a clean atmosphere
Gross external survey
Conducted as time permits to find and mark boundaries of contaminated areas
Aircraft parked are subject to this survey
