What is Project Cheeta
A
In 2009 GoI wanted to reintroduce cheeta in India that were exctint since 1947. It choose Kuno WLS(MP) and Shahgarh(Raj) as places to reintroduced.
Cheetas are available only in Africa and Iran now, GoI asked Iran for samples of cheeta cell but they refused and asked cells of Asiatic lions.
