Checked Limitations Flashcards
what is the maximum altitude for operating the APU BLEED AIR and ELECTRIC?
10,000ft
What is the limitation on alternate flaps?
alternate flap duty cycle in flight is one complete cycle, then 5 minutes off. A complete cycle is movement from position 0 to 15 and back to 0. The alternate flap switch must be in the OFF position for 15 seconds before reversing the direction of flap movement.
What is the limitation for the cargo bay fire suppression system?
Aircraft must land within 60 min of initial discharge of the fire suppression system (MAX 8E and 8E 180 min)
What is the checked limitation on thrust reversers?
reverse thrust is for ground use only
What is the maximum altitude for operating the APU?
41,000ft
What are the TCAS limitations?
flight crews must immediately respond to TCAS information (both TAs and RAs) by using the TCAS (traffic avoidance) guidelines located in the QRH maneuvers chapter.
Pilots are authorized to deviate from an ATC clearance to the extent necessary to comply with the TCAS II RA
You are ready for takeoff, you have 1500lbs of fuel in the center tank, what position should your center fuel pump switches be in?
they should both be ON.
What is the limitation for a circle to land approach maneuver?
weather minimums are a 1000ft ceiling and 3 miles visibility. Both ceiling and visibility criteria are required. Review the Jeppesen approach chart to see if it specifies higher mins greater than 1000/3. If so, then those higher mins are required. Use a minimum decent altitude (MDA) of 1000ft above airport elevation restricted to a higher altitude in the circle-to-land mins on the approach chart.
What is the limitation for holding in icing conditions?
Holding in icing conditions with flaps extended is prohibited
What is the limitation for operating the radar?
do not operate the weather radar during fueling, near fuel spills or near people
What is the maximum fuel tank temp?
+49C
What is the limitation on pack operation for takeoff, approach and landing?
with engine bleed air switches ON, do not operate the air conditioning packs in HIGH for takeoff, approach or landing.
After starting, what are the limitations for engine stabilization?
operate engines at or near idle, after rollback, for a MINIMUM of 2 min (NG) or 3 min (MAX8) prior to applying takeoff thrust.
*recommendation: on the 1st flight of the day, operate engines at or near idle, after rollback, for a minimum of 5 min propr to applying takeoff thrust
What is the minimum fuel tank temperature?
-37 Degrees C
You are ready for takeoff, you have 900lbs of fuel in the center tank, what position should your center fuel pump switches be in?
They should both be OFF
