Characters are the figures whose actions, words, and motives are represented to readers
Characters
complex and undergo development
Round Character
uncomplicated and do not change throughout the course of a work
Flat Character
one that does not undergo important change in the course of the story, remaining essentially the same at the end
Static Character
a character who undergoes some important change in the course of the story
Dynamic Character
the character who drives the action–the character whose fate matters most.
Protagonist
opponent or foil of the main character, who is referred to as the protagonist, in a drama or narrative
antagonist
a character who is presented as a contrast to a second character so as to point to or show to advantage some aspect of the second character.
Foil
a character in a drama or fiction that represents a type and that is recognizable as belonging to a certain genre
stock
a hero that has some of the characteristics and personality traits of a villain, but ultimately gives in to the goals and desires of a hero
antihero
