Activity levels,
Disruption to sleep or eating behaviour, aggression or self harm
What are the emotional characteristics of depression?
Low mood, anger, lowered self-esteem
What are the cognitive characteristics of depression?
Poor concentration, dwelling on the negative, absolutist thinking

An anxiety disorder
This is the cycle of obsessions to anxiety to compulsions to relief.
What is an obsession?
An obsession is cognitive and is a persistent thought idea or impulse that is intrusive repeated and causes an anxiety.
What are compulsions?
A compulsion is a type of behaviour, it is a repetitive and rigid behaviour or mental act that prevent or reduces anxiety
What are the behavioural characteristics of OCD?
Repetitive compulsions, compulsions reduce anxiety, avoidance
What are the emotional characteristics of OCD?
Anxiety/distress depression, guilt/disgust with self
What are the cognitive characteristics of OCD?
