Every organism starts of as an infant and grows into an adult.
Life Span
Maximum amount of time an organism can surive.
Reproduction
To crreate more of the same type of organism or species.
Asexual Reproduction
Involves 1 parent and the offspring (babies) are exactly the same as the parent genetically.
Examples: Bacteria, Strawberries,
starfish.
Sexual Reproduction
Ussally involves 2 parents and there is a mixture of genetic material.
Examples: Plants, Reptiles, Mamals,
Birds, Fish, Insects.
Stumuli
Any change in the enviorment.Detected through senses.
Examples: Air Horn
Respond
Action or movement of an organism because of a stimulus.
Examples: Scared, jumped, shock,
increased heart rate.
Metabolism
All the chemical procesess that take place in a living organism.
Ingestion
Taking in necessary materials from the enviorment.
Digestion
Materials of ingestion are broken down into simpler substanses like elements and compounds.
Cellular Respiration
Products of digestion (Glucose) are combined with oxygen to realese energy.
Excretion
Getting rid of waste materials.
