Reveals the character at the beginning, before the action starts
Status quo
Sparks the character Arc and launches the character toward his/her first dilemma or major decision
Trigger
Forces the character to make a decision that changes things forever (or gives them no choice)
Point of no return
Shows the character resisting initial attempts to change. Presents him/her with information, skills, ect. they need
Struggle
Marks the characters switch from reacting to acting. compels him/her to take the first step in the right direction
Revelation
Forces the character to confront his/her beliefs again and to finally choose between a false belief and the truth
Dark night of the soul
Shows character taking what he/she learned during the story and using it to prove they have changed (or have impacted a change)
Moment of truth
Offers further evidence that the character has changed (or has impacted a change) and a glimpse into their new life
Emergence
Sweet ending
Characters gets want and need
Semi-sweet ending
Character gets need but not want
Bitter-sweet ending
Character gets want but not need
Bitter ending
Character does not get want or need
