Protagonist?
The main chacter in a work often a hero but not always.
Antagonist?
A chacter who opposes the protagonist and creates or intensifies the conflict.
Coming of a age story or bildungsroman
A novel that explores the maturing of the protagonist of movening the main charter from childhood to adult hood.
Epiphany
its an aha moment when a charter is struck with a life changing realization.
Round charcters
Exhibits a range of emotions and evolves over the course of the story.
Flat characters
Embodies one or two traits , lacks charcter development.
Foil
A contrasting charter who allows the protagonist to stand out more.
Stock characters
A type of flat character based on a stereotype, one who fairs.
Direct characterization
A narrator tells the reader who a character is by looking at the background.
indirect characterization
Shows rather then tells who the characters is like with what they say, do or think.
