A

Manage time:

  1. Plan ahead
  2. prioritize: identify the most important tasks to get done and do these first
  3. make a schedule: write out the hours of the day and fill in what needs to be done and when. this allows for a realistic schedule
  4. combine activities: nursing assistants can visit with residents while providing care, which combines two important tasks. work more efficiently whenever possible
  5. get help: sometimes the NA’s will need help to ensure a resident’s safety, and they should not be afraid to ask for help.
