What is the NDRRMC?
The National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council is responsible for disaster operations and risk mitigation.
Differentiate NDRRMC from National Disaster Coordinating Council.
NDRRMC is a proactive organization while the NDCC is only an active one. There are 44 agencies under NDRRMC while there were only 9 under NDCC. The NDCC was based on the assumption that we cannot avoid disaster while NDRRMC is based on the philosophy that we can decrease impact of disasters.
