Utterson and Enfield are taking their regular Sunday walk when Enfield narrates a shocking episode that he had witnessed in the vicinity:a child being trampled.

Dr Jekyll holds a small diner party and Utterson brings up the topic of Jekyll’s will

Sir Danvers Carew, a conservative member of parliament, is beaten and trampled to death

Utterson takes the police to Hydes rooms in a house in Soho

Jekyll gives Utterson a letter from Hyde
Ch6 The remarkable incident of dr lanyon
Jekyll is at peace and Utterson, lanyon and others dine at jekylls house it is just like the old days. Utterson tries to see Jekyll but is not admitted the Utterson dines with an unnamed guest
-Utterson visits Lanyon, who appears to be dying
-Utterson sends a letter to Jekyll informing him of Lanyon’s ill health. He receives a reply the same day, confirming that the rift between Jekyll and Lanyon is irreparable
-lanyon takes to his bed and dies
-The night after Lanyon,s funeral, Utterson receives a package containing a sealed letter, written by Lanyon before his death, with the instruction that it is not to be opened until after the death or disappearance of Jekyll
Ch7 The incident at the window
On one of their regular walks, Utterson and Enfield see Jekyll sitting by the open window of his cabinet, taking the air
Ch8 the last night
Utterson and Poole break down the door to Jekyll cabinet and find the body of Hyde
Ch9 dr lanyons narrative
-Lanyon receives a letter from Jekyll with instructions to obtain chemicals from his cabinet and to be ready to receive a visitor after midnight
-soon after midnight, after taking a concoction of the chemicals, Hyde metamorphoses into Henry Jekyll in front of Lanyon, who is deeply shocked he dies a few weeks later
