- Breathing rate - a sick person may be panting quickly or breathing very little. If someone stops breathing they will die within minutes as their body runs out of oxygen.
- Pulse - your heart beat is vital. A very fast or very slow heart beat can indicate that the person is sick. Without any heart beat they will die within minutes because oxygen is not being delivered to the brain.
