-They can propose laws, but mostly just consider bills

The people who serve Canadians as the employee of the government
Assimilation
the process whereby individuals or groups of differing ethnic heritage are absorbed into the dominant culture of a society.
Constitution
A special set of laws that establish a framework of governance
