Define pharmaceutics…
The science of preparing and dispensing drugs.
Why use drugs?
• To improve quality or quantity of life.
•to cure, suppress or prevent disease.
Define prescription….
A written, verbal, or electronic order from a prescriber(e.g.., physician, dentists podiatrist, nurse practitioner) to a pharmacist for a specific medication at a certain time.
Why the patient’s address is important?
•In case of dispensing a controlled drug.
•informing the patient if any mistake could take place.
Considered for pediatric patients since their dosages are usually measured according to these factors.
