What’s the difference between annuals, biennials, and perennials?
Biennials-complete there life cycle in 2 growing seasons. Perennials- can live for more than 2 growing seasons. Annuals- plants that grow flowers and produce seeds in growing seasons.
What characteristics do all plants have?
chloroplast, cell wall, photosynthesis to make glucose.
What is a cambium?
a layer of tissue that produces new vascular tissue and grows between xylem and phloem.
What is the difference between vascular and tissue and non vascular tissue?
Vascular tissue- has tubes for water. Non vascular tissue- no tubes for water gets from diffusion and osmosis.
What is the function of a rhizoid?
It anchors nonvascular seedless plants to the surface.
Where would i find a frond?
The leaves of a fern.
What is a stoma?
A small opening in the epidermis that allows gas exchange for oxygen to go in and carbon dioxide to go out.
What is the purpose of a cuticle?
To protect the leaves, stems, and flowers from water evaporating.
Do all gymnosperms have leaves, cones, and seeds?
Yes all of them
