Demography
the study of statistics such as births, deaths, income, or the incidence of disease, which illustrate the changing structure of human populations.
Age Structure
the classification of members of a population into groups according to age or the distribution of members of a population in terms of age groups
Survivorship
a person who survives, especially a person remaining alive after an event in which others have died.
Fertility Rate
the average number of children a woman of childbearing years would have in her lifetime, if she had children at the current rate for her country
Migration
seasonal movement of animals from one region to another.
Life expectancy
the average length of time that an individual is expected to live
Demographic Transition
the general pattern of demographic change from high birth and death rates to low birth and death rates, as observed in the history of more-developed countries
Infrastructure
the basic physical and organizational structures and facilities needed for the operation of a society or enterprise
Urbanization
the process of making an area more urban.
Least Developed Countries
countries that have been identified by the united nations as showing the fewest signs of development in terms of income, human resources, and economic diversification
