EMERGENCY SHUTDOWN
1) POWER lever (affected engine) - FLT IDLE.
2) Condition lever (affected engine) - FUEL SHUTOFF.
3) PULL FUEL OFF handle (affected engine) - Pull.
SMOKE & FUMES ACTIONS
- Crew oxygen masks & goggles - 100% and ON.
- ICS switch - MASK. Establish communications.
3) DOME light switch - ON.
4) EMER LTS switch - ON.
5) FASTEN BELT switch - ON.
ENGINE MALFUNCTION BEFORE V1
- POWER levers (4) - DISC.
- Braking - As required.
- Reverse - As required.
ENGINE MALFUNCTION AT OR AFTER V1
1) POWER levers (4) - Maximum available.
2) LANDING GEAR (after positive rate of climb) - UP.
3. Airspeed - Climb at V2.
4) Confirm - Autofeather, no fire.
If engine failure, no feather:
5) Condition lever (failed engine) - FUEL SHUTOFF.
Above 400’ AGL:
- Airspeed - Accelerate to Vclimb.
7) FLAPS (on profile) - Select up.
8) EMERGENCY SHUTDOWN (affected engine) - Complete.
9) EXTG switch (if required) - FWD BTL, wait 30 seconds, if fire persists - EXTG switch - AFT BTL.
ENGINE MALFUNCTION OR PRECAUTIONARY ENGINE SHUTDOWN DURING FLIGHT
1) SYNCHROPHASE switch - OFF.
2. Power - As required.
3) Affected Engine - Identify
4) EMERGENCY SHUTDOWN (affected engine) - Complete.
TWO ENGINES MALFUNCTION OPERATIONS
- Condition levers (FWD 3) - MAX RPM.
- Power - Maximum Available.
Caution: ENGINE BLEED switches on operating engines off to avoid reducing potential power available. (paraphrased)
- Complete appropriate memory items / checklist for second engine malfunction
TWO ENGINE GO-AROUND OR MISSED APPROACH PROCEDURE
- POWER levers (4) - Maximum available.
- LANDING GEAR - Up.
3) FLAPS - Up.
4) Airspeed - 118 KIAS. - Bank Angle - 30* maximum.
Warning:
- With #1 and #2 engines inop, flaps cannot be retracted from 15* or 25* position, but will retract from 45* when selected to 25* position. Do not attempt GO-AROUND with Flaps Extended and #1 and #2 Engines inop.
- With #3 and #4 engines inop, the gear cannot be retracted following extension by the alternate method. Do not attempt GO-AROUND with LANDING GEAR DN and #3 and #4 Engines inop.
ALL ENGINES INOPERATIVE
Airspeed - 1.3Vs (for appropriate weight / flap setting)
OVERTEMPERATURE (OTHER THAN STARTING)
1) ENGINE MALFUNCTION OR PRECAUTIONARY ENGINE SHUTDOWN DURING FLIGHT checklist - Complete.
ENGINE Ng OVERSPEED
1) SYNCHROPHASE switch - OFF.
2) POWER lever (affected engine) - FLT IDLE.
If there is no response to power lever movement:
3) PULL FUEL OFF handle (affected engine) - Pull.
Below 1,500 FT/LB Torque:
4) Condition lever (affected engine) - FUEL SHUT OFF.
ABNORMAL OIL PRESSURE #1, #2, #3, or #4 ENG OIL PRESS caution light on:
If Engine OIL PRESS confirmed below 75 PSI:
1) Complete ENGINE MALFUNCTION OR PRECAUTIONARY ENGINE SHUTDOWN DURING FLIGHT checklist
ABNORMAL OIL TEMPERATURE
If Engine OIL TEMP remains above 99*C for more than 15 minutes:
1) Complete ENGINE MALFUNCTION OR PRECAUTIONARY ENGINE SHUTDOWN DURING FLIGHT checklist
PROPELLER OVERSPEED
1) SYNCHROPHASE switch - OFF.
2. POWER lever (affected engine) - FLT IDLE.
3. Airspeed - Reduce.
4) Condition lever (affected engine) - START & FEATHER.
If propeller does not feather:
5) Condition lever (affected engine) - FUEL SHUT OFF.
ENGINE FIRE OR SEVERE ENGINE DAMAGE - ON THE GROUND
After aircraft is stopped and EMERG BRK set to PARK:
- POWER levers (4) - FLT IDLE.
- Condition levers (4) - FUEL SHUTOFF.
- PULL FUEL OFF handle (Illuminated) - Pull.
- EXTG switch - FWD BTL (wait 5 sec.), AFT BTL.
- APU STOP switch - Press for one second. (if applicable)
- Notify ATC and Crew of impending evacuation.
- Master BATTERY switch - OFF.
- DC EXT PWR switch - OFF. (if applicable)
- Evacuate Aircraft.
ENGINE FIRE OR SEVERE ENGINE DAMAGE - IN FLIGHT
1) SYNCHROPHASE switch - OFF.
2. Power - As required.
3) Affected Engine - Identify.
4) EMERGENCY SHUTDOWN (affected engine) - Complete.
5) EXTG switch - FWD BTL. (wait 30 seconds) if fire persists - AFT BLT.
