A bill that gets passed and change to an existing law
How does an amendment get proposed?
2/3 of the Congress must vote for it (yes)
How does an amendment then get ratified?
2/3 of the state legislature must vote yes

- speech

What does the 2nd Amendment give you the right to own?
Guns
What does the 4th Amendment protect you from? (Placed as a result of the Sugar Act)
Unreasonable searches and seizures without probable cause

Make the federal government take care of them

The Southern States because they owed less money than the Northen States
Why did the South agree to accept Hamilton’s plan to lessen the national debt?
He exchanged the U.S capitol so it would be moved to the South
Why did Hamilton feel that it was ok for him to create a national bank?
Because he felt it was within the intent of the Constitution

Tax on imported goods
What was the Whiskey Rebellion?
A civil uprising against the taxing power of federal governement
Why did Washington not want to run for a third term to the Presidency?
He knew he would win no matter what and he didn’t want the President’s position to become like a king
