What was Pavlov’s experiment?
He had the experiment with the dogs and they would salivate when they heard the tuning fork sound.
What did Pavlov create?
He created classical conditioning. This is involuntary or an automatic behavior and a learned behavior.
What did Thorndike and Skinner create?
They created operant conditioning. This is voluntary behavior based off of the reinforcement and punishment given as a result of the actions.
What is a reinforcement?
Reinforcement is something that will impact the way we react to a certain stimulus.
What is positive reinforcement?
It is used to encourage a particular behavior that we want to see.
What is negative reinforcement?
It is used to stop a certain behavior.
What is satiation?
This is where you allow the behavior to continue until the child gets tired of doing that behavior and they stop once they see that no one is responding to it.
What is behavior modification?
This is where you clearly specify the behavior that you want to change and decide at what level the student is performing that behavior.
What is curriculum?
It is defined as all the courses of study offered by an educational institution.
What is the state textbook adoption?
The state controls what books are used in the school districts. (22 states)
What is open-territory?
This allows the districts to pick their textbooks. (28 states)

They are verbal, logical, visual, bodily, musical, intrapersonal, interpersonal, naturalist, and existentialist.
