The animals begin building a new windmill after celebrating their victory.Their efforts again are led by boxer despite the split in his hoof he still insists on working harder and getting the windmill before he retires.Food supllies continue to dimnish squealer explain that they actually have more food and better lives than they have ever known.More and more of the animals rations have been reduced while the pigs continue to grow fatter.Once boxer hoofs heals he works to continue to building the windmill until the day he collapses.Squealer informs napoleon has sent him to veterian.But when the van arrives to take boxer he is actually being taken to the knacker which benjamin reads.Boxer is never seen again.Squealer lies saying the van had not been painted yet.The animals are relieved when they hear this.The chapter ends with the delivery of whiskey to the pigs who drink all day and not arise until after noon
