Regulates Qi
- More drying & aromatic then Chen Pi
- Less effective in harmonizing the middle & regulating the ST & SP
Ju Hong (Red) ~Cowboy Beaver w/ barf bag around neck, belching, gun holders dripping phlegm
Unblocks the Yang Qi and disperses Turbid phlegm
Directs the qi downward and reduces stagnation
*used in combination w/ Gua Lou
*Upper burner (chest Bi)
*Lower burner (LI stagnation)
Xie Bai
~Beaver with Yang blocks on chest, wheezing, phlegm dripping from blocks and pull string hanging from crotch.
Moves Qi & alleviates pain, settles belching & nausia
Recently used in treating coronary artery dz
Tan Xiang (Sandalwood) ~Beaver pushing log (heart on log) off of other beaver, who is belching.
Drives Qi down & eases the Middle (irregular bowel movements/incomplete)
Promotes urination & reduces edema
Da Fu Pi
~Beaver jumping on distended abdomen of other beaver getting out “poop” and urine and belch
Breaks up stagnation Qi & reduces accumulation
Transforms phlegm & expels focal distention
Used with Qi tonic herbs
*Raise blood pressure
*Increases parastolisis (keeps organ in place for prolapse)
Zhi Shi (Unripe bitter orange) ~Lumber jack beaver chewing down tree trunk (Qi) w/ plug dripping phlegm in chest. Raising prolapse and raising blood pressure branches.
Promotes movement of Qi
*Similar in actions to Zhi Shi, but gentler in effect
Zhi Ke/Zhi Qiao (Bitter Orange)
~Beaver jumping on Qi ball w/ poop falling out and coughing.
Moves Qi & stops pain
Adjusts & regulates stagnant Qi in Intestines
Strengthens Sp & prevents stagnation
*Food stagnation
Mu Xiang
~Beaver hitting Qi golf ball, wearing strengthen Sp hat and has LV & GB balls next to him. Gulf club hitting crotch (twisted intestines)
Spreads LV Qi & breaks up stagnation
Dissipates clumps & reduces food stagnation (strongly), harmonizes ST
*Strong movement of Qi
Qing Pi (Green Tangerine Peel) ~Beaver hitting "hamburger" qi hammer down and LV qi going up hitting stagnation qi bell. Has music note on stomach.
Spreads & regulates LV qi (alleviates pain)
Regulates menses & alleviates pain (due to LV stagnation)
*Any GYN due to LV Qi stag.
*Used w/ Chai Hu
*Treats disharmony between LV & SP
Xiang Fu
~Beaver sitting at table eating Hersey bar, spreading LV pate on bread, looking at “That Time of Month” calendar and wearing green (LV) & yellow (SP) booties.
Dredges LV qi, releases constraint, stops pain & conducts heat out from below
Kills parasites & stops pain (topical for dermatosis of the scalp)
Chuan Lian Zi (Pagoda Tree)
~Beaver riding bicycle over dredged LV qi trail, LV/ST helmet cracked in half w/ constraint belt around waist and heat flowing out from below. Parasite holding onto handlebar.
Spreads & regulates the LV qi
Harmonizes the ST & strengthens the SP
Transforms phlegm & stops coughs
Fo Shou (Buddha's hand) ~ Man playing "harmonizing" music, beaver collecting phlegm & cough in hat, wearing tight green (LV) vest constraining chest.
Moves qi & alleviates pain (disperses cold)

~Beaver ironing shirt w/ qi iron, wearing heated towel w/ coo-koo clock
Moves qi & alleviates pain (good for cold)

Chen Xiang (Aloeswood) ~Beaver riding bike down "Rebel Hill" runs over SP in "middle" of road. Hand coming from KD trying to grasp Qi bottle.
Awakens the SP, promotes movement of Qi
