What does the word holy mean?
Holy means ‘dedicated to God.’

The Church is holy because she is the Body of Christ and His Bride.

Church Militant — Christians on earth battling sin.
What is the Church Triumphant?
Church Triumphant — Christians in Heaven.
What is the Church Suffering?
Church Suffering — Christians in Purgatory being purified.
How does the Church make visible the invisible reality of God?
Through the Holy Spirit and visible things like buildings, art, sacraments, and people.
What wounds the holiness of the Church on earth?
Sin.
When does the Church fully become herself?
When her members are fully without sin; holiness makes her more like the Church in Heaven.
What is the dogma of the Immaculate Conception?
Mary received sanctifying grace at her conception; she was free from sin from the start.
How was Mary able to be conceived without sin?
Jesus saved her by acting outside of time.
What is the dogma of Mary’s perpetual virginity?
Mary remained a virgin forever, showing her purity; she is an icon of the Church.
What is the dogma of the Assumption?
Mary was taken to Heaven, body and soul.
What does Mary’s Assumption mean for us?
It promises that we, too, will one day have glorified bodies in Heaven.

They loved God above all else and lived that love fully.

Holiness is possible for everyone, no matter their past.
What can we ask the saints to do for us?
Intercede — pray for us.

A hypocrite can still tell the truth; sin doesn’t make the Faith false.
