What should you do if your right wheels go off the pavement while driving?

- Take your foot off the gas pedal.
- Hold the wheel firmly and steer in a straight line.
- Brake lightly.
- Wait until the road is clear. Turn back on the pavement at a slow speed (signal your intention).

What should you do if your tires begin to skid while driving?
Skidding
- Take your foot off the gas pedal.
- Do not use your brakes, if possible.
- Turn the vehicle’s front tires in the direction you want to go (steer in the direction of the skid).

When emergency braking, what is the difference between conventional brakes and anti-lock brakes (ABS)?
Conventional brakes need to be pumped while with Anti-lock Brakes (ABS) the driver must firmly press down on the brake pedal, hold it, and steer out of danger. If the driver removes steady pressure from the brake pedal or pumps the brakes, the ABS will disengage or turn off.

What should you do during a tire blow-out?
Tire Blowout
- Take your foot off the gas. Do not use brakes.
- Concentrate on steering.
- Slow down gradually.
- Brake softly when the car is under control.
- Pull completely off the pavement/roadway.

What must you do if you are involved in a minor accident and your vehicle is blocking the flow of traffic?
If the crash is minor and your vehicle is blocking the flow of traffic, you must move it or have it moved.
