We must not bring in new or outside information to answer find the conclusion question types.
What are the two main differences between CR “find the conclusion” and CR “inference” question types?
For inference question types, the conclusion MUST BE TRUE.
For find the conclusion question types, the conclusion may or may not be true. We simply identify the ending to the author’s argument.
For inference question types, the correct answer can be supported by a small part of the question stimulus.
For find the conclusion question types, the correct answer has to be supported by the whole question stimulus.
What are the most common incorrect answer types to find the conclusion questions?
- Requires support/ information not included in the stimulus
- Extends beyond what the statements in the stimulus say
- Loosely related to what the statement says but states an unsupported conclusion
- Conflicts with the information in the passage.
