Q

What is the DeBakey classification of aortic dissection? Which is the most critical?

A

Type 1: Whole AO, Type 2: just ascending, Type 3: Just descending. Types 1 and 2 are the most critical becuase they are closer to the brain and heart.

17
Q

How does the kidney appear with Renal Artery stenosis?

A

When acute the kidney is much larger and hypoechoic, when chronic it is shrunken and hyperechoic

18
Q

How does the kidney appear with Renal vein thrombosis?

19
Q

What happens to blood flow with stenosis

A

increased velocity. Like a crowd rushing in through a small door

20
Q

How does ectasia appear on ultrasound

A

Wavy or kinked appearance
