condicional tipo 1: un futuro posible
Si tengo dinero, iré al cine.
Si con presente y después el futuro: verbo con will.
Orden no importa: Iré al cine, si tengo dinero
If I have money, I will go to the cinema.
I will go to the cinema, if I have money.
Si tenemos tiempo, veremos una película.
If we have time, we’ll watch a film/movie.
Si ella viene, hablaré con ella.
If she comes, I will talk to/with her.
Recuerda: come lleva ‘s’.
Si ellos juegan, ganarán.
If they play, they will win.
Si puedes, ¿Me ayudarás?
If you can, will you help me?
Recuerda: empiezas una pregunta con will
Si él no me llama, no iré a la fiesta.
If he doesn’t call me, I won’t go to the party.
Recuerda: el negativo de will es won’t.
condicional tipo 2: cambiando la realidad
Si tuviera tiempo, iría al cine.
subjuntivo, tuviera en Inglés es el pasado: segunda columna.
iría: condicional: would, could, should
If I had time, I would go to the cinema.
No importa orden: I would go to the cinema, if I had time.
If siempre va con el pasado.
Si yo pudiera, lo haría
If I could, I would do it.
No te confundas: podía, pude, pudiera = could y también podría = could. El pasado y la condicional son iguales = could.
Si tuviéramos más tiempo, podríamos hacerlo.
If we had more time, we could do it.
Si ella estuviera aquí, hablaría con ella.
If she was here, I would talk/speak to/with her.
Si yo fuera tú, yo iría.
If I was/were you, I would go.
¡Ojo! el único subjuntivo en Inglés: Si yo fuera tú = If I were you, pero con el tiempo was es más y más aceptable. Was es más común en USA.
condicional tipo 0: algo que siempre ocurre
Si tengo dinero, lo gasto
If presente, presente
If I have money, I spend it.
Cuando tengo tiempo libre, normalmente veo la tele.
When I have free time, I usually watch TV.
Podemos sustituir if con when, si va a pasar o normalmente pasa.
Cuando termino mis exámenes, te llamaré
Cuando tengo dinero, lo gasto en chicle.
When I finish my exams/tests, I will call you.
When I have money, I spend it on gum.
