Fractions
Breaking something up so the pieces would have the same value.
Numerator
The top number in a fraction; the parts of a fraction that tells the number of parts you have.
Denominator
The bottom number in a fraction. It represents the number of parts in the whole.
Common factors
A number that is a multiple of the denominators of two or more fractions
Greatest common factor (GCF)
The greatest of the common factors of two or more numbers
Simplest form
A fraction in which the GCF of the numerator and the denominator is one.

Least common multiple (LCM)
The smallest whole number greater that zero that is a common multiple of each of two or more numbers.
Least common denominator (LCD)
The least common multiple of the denominators of two or more fractions.
Multiple
A multiple of a number us the product of that number and any whole number.
Common multiples
A whole number that is a multiple of two or more numbers
