Mitosis vs meiosis

A

Mitosis is the process of cell division that produces two identical daughter cells from a single parent cell. It occurs in somatic cells for growth, repair, and maintenance of the body. Meiosis, on the other hand, is the type of cell division that results in four daughter cells, each with half the number of chromosomes of the parent cell. It is responsible for the formation of gametes (sperm and egg cells)
