Apartheid (laws)
laws no longer in effect in South Africa that physically separated different races into different geographic areas
Blockbusting
A process by which real estate agents convince white property owners to sell their houses at low prices because of fear that black people will soon move into the neighborhood
Ethnicity
Identity with a group of people who share the cultural traditions of a particular homeland
Ethnophobia
Fear of people of a particular ethnicity
Nationality
Identity to a particular country (legal)
Race
identity with people who share same physical traits (skin color)
Redlining
Process by which financial institutions draw red colored lines on a map and refuse to give money to those in certain areas usually based on race
Xenophobia
Fear of people who are from other countries
