Rite
1.) A rite is a particular way of celebrating the sacraments according to the rules of the Church.
2.) Rite can also mean a whole group of Catholics who share a common way of worshipping and of living the faith. There are five different kinds of rites or kinds in the Church. All profess the same faith.

Baptism removes Original Sin and bestows the life of grace; it makes us children of God and part of the Mystical Body of Christ; leaves a permanent spiritual mark

Laying on of hands and anointing with sacred chrism
What is the form of Confirmation?
“Be sealed with the Holy Spirit.”
Who is the minister of Confirmation?
Ordinary: Bishop
Extraordinary: Priest
What are the effects of Confirmation?
Abundance of the Holy Spirit, His gifts; made more perfect witness of Christ; permanent spiritual mark
What is the matter of the Eucharist?
Bread and wine over which the priest says the words of Consecration.
What is the form of the Eucharist?
“This is my Body… This is the chalice of my Blood.”
