Republic

a unit of 3,000–6,000 men in the ancient Roman army.
Hannibal
general who commanded the Carthaginian army in the second Punic War; crossed the Alps and defeated the Romans but was recalled to defend Carthage and was defeated (247-182 BC)
Scipio
full name Publius CorneliusScipioAfricanus Major. 237–183 bc, Roman general. He commanded the Roman invasion of Carthage in the Second Punic War, defeating Hannibal at Zama
