- Estimated 5 million people were deported to Forced Labour camps in Siberia or Central Asia.

- Any group that objected was persecuted as a “criminal nation”.
- Confiscated Ukrainian farmers crops when they refused to give up their land. Due to this 10 million Ukrainians starved to death in the 1930’s.
- Outlawed the use of Ukrainian Language in public.
- Rid the Communist Party of anyone accused of being an “enemy of the people”.
- Thousands of Russians were executed and millions more were sent to slave-labour camps. (ie Drawing him, taking down a picture of him to paint the wall)

- Adopted by the party in 1928, called for rapid industrialization of the economy, with an emphasis on heavy industry. It set goals that were unrealistic—a 250 percent increase in overall industrial development and a 330 percent expansion in heavy industry alone.
