Quantifiers are words that, like numbers describe quantity, but are in most cases indefinite. To put simply quantifiers are words such as “many”, “a few”, “some” etc… IN fact we have already learned the quantifier ทุก however, quantifier are often used with classifiers instead of nouns. E.g [หลาย เพื่อน] is not a valid phrase in Thai The grammatically correct phrase would be [เพื่อนหลายคน] [lit: friends many people]
Also quantifiers ALWAYS go before the classifier or countable unit and can not be used on their own.
Remember: “QUANTIFIER BEFORE CLASSIFIER.”
He gets bad scores
receive score not good
ได้คะเเนนไม่ดี
We learned from Journey 1 that (verb) + [ได้] means “can be able to” but on its own its also has the meaning of to get or receive
