Dialect

An extremely simple language that combines aspects of two or more other, more complex languages usually used for quick and efficient communications
Lingua Franca
A relationship between languages or dialects in which speakers of different but related varieties can readily understand each other without intentional study or special effort
Mutual intelligibility
Language that may develop when two groups of people with different languages meet
Has some characteristics of each languages
Pidgin
A systematic change in the pronunciation of a set of speech sounds as a language evolves

Place names given to certain features on the land such as settlements, terrain features, and streams
