Discipline or physical abuse?

  • parents are justifyed in using force in a way of correction towards a child if it doesnt exceed what is reasonable under the circumstances
  • teachers can use force to remove student/ prevent immediate threats but prohibited to use physical punishment
  • parents not allowed to spank/slap children younger than 2, older than 12
  • parents may use physical force between 3 and 12 but cannot use object to hit them
  • parents not permitted to strike on head or face
